Corrugated box converter is seeking full-time, qualified Flexo-Folder Gluer Machine Operator for our 2nd shift. We specialize in corrugated boxes, packaging and shipping products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment which includes: performing accurate and efficient set-ups, checking for quality of manufactured boxes and basic troubleshooting of the machines
  • Follow assigned job duties and complete all work orders as required by productions needs
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and machine efficiencies
  • Must be motivated to reach production goals
  • Assist other team members/operators
  • Cross train on other machines
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Strong mechanical ability is a must
  • Prior work experience in the corrugated industry a plus
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to perform basic math and read a tape measure
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required
  • At times, employees are required to work overtime and weekends
  • Physical Demands
    • Must be able to lift and move more than 50 pounds.
    • Stand, walk, use hands/finger
    • Close, distance and color vision
    • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled warehouse

Education and Work Experience Required

  • Corrugated Converting manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Compensation

  • This position is an hourly position commensurate on experience and qualifications.

Leaman Container, Inc. is seeking a full-time, qualified Production Scheduler to fit in with our established, tenured, successful Fort Worth team. We specialize in corrugated boxes, packaging and shipping products. The ideal candidate would be a quick learner, work well under pressure, willing to work and be comfortable in a fast- paced manufacturing environment and have strong Excel skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies
  • Schedule production machines in the most effective and efficient ways based on the customers’ needs
  • Maximize plant output while balancing customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities
  • Maintain inventory of raw materials
  • Attend daily production and shipping meetings
  • Ensure all purchase orders are confirmed with quality, pricing and delivery dates
  • Monitor purchase orders daily and review and receive in upon arrival
  • Work with vendors on defective or unacceptable materials
  • Work closely with customer service, maintenance and production staff
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors
  • Learn responsibilities of Purchasing Agent to be able to assist and backup when needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Ideal candidate would have 2 years of manufacturing or production scheduling
  • Must be able to work independently
  • High school diploma

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Must work well under pressure with time constraints
  • Must be a problem solver and action oriented.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Must have clear, concise oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to type 30 wpm
  • Industry software (Imaginera) knowledge a plus

Compensation/Benefits

  • This position is an hourly position with a wage range depending on experience and qualifications.
